American Creativity Academy (ACA) is a private school that was founded in 1997 as a primary years (pre-K through grade 5) school that delivers a standards-based American curriculum within an environment in which Islamic values are respected and practiced. The school has been offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) program for high school students since the 2008-2009 school year. It is one of only two schools in Kuwait that of-fer this program. Students can participate in the full program and receive an IB diploma, or they can take certain IB classes and earn certificates for each class.
The school is separated into two campuses, one for the boys and the other for the girls because of its attention to Islamic values. The campuses are both located in Hawalli, Kuwait, and they are relatively close to each other. Both schools offer education for Pre-K, KG, elementary, middle, and high school students of all nationalities and backgrounds. The schools consist of not only Kuwaitis, for the care of the ACA has enabled many other different expatriates and foreign-ers to be gladly welcomed into the curriculum.
The American Creativity Academy offers a wide array of different options for students of different interests. A large soccer field, basketball court, volleyball court, fitness room with high-quality machinery, and the newly-renovated indoor gym are some of the places that ACA has granted their students pertaining to sports. The many buildings that make up the American Creativity Academy are comprised of many spacey classrooms, more than three computer labs, two libraries of over two thousand books each, an arts room, and many other facilities provided by the school itself.
American Creativity Academy also has after school activities, such as Under 14, Junior Varsity, and Varsity of many different sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and many other sports. It also hosts MUN, or Model United Nations, a program that allows high-er learning and a chance to gain experience and how to become a leader. ACA activities also in-clude varying clubs and tutoring projects. All of these after school activities and programs help with college credits and future endeavors.
The list of benefits gained from joining ACA trump the disadvantages, which are hardly there at all. Because of ACA's popularity, the waiting list of students trying to enroll is endless. However, an outstanding student will definitely be accepted by ACA, as they look for future leaders of the world and people who help their societies.
